The law library at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor is a step out of the real world and a huge leap into the world of magic. Tour guides will often tell prospective students that the Harry Potter filmmakers considered using this building in the movie. Even though that's not true, it just takes one look inside to see how that rumor got started.\nThis historic building, formally known as the Legal Research Library, opened in 1931 and was modeled after impressive Gothic-era structures.\nThe main attraction is the Reading Room. It is the most breathtaking sight in the law quadrangle, which is made up of several buildings belonging to the law school.\nIt's ten stories tall and has massive stained glass windows lining the entire room. The windows display the seals of many prestigious universities around the world, to show how serious the scholars at this place are.\nEven if you're not putting in time studying hardcore for exams, this place is definitely worth a visit if you're craving a Harry Potter fix but don't want to travel too far.\nOver the years, the library had grown dark and dingy and about a decade ago, the library was remodeled.
