Spring is when the city really starts to wake-up after our long winter slumber. From patios starting up again to outdoor swimming pools opening for the season, there's already a lot on our spring bucket lists! Here's one more thing you absolutely have to check out this spring. The first adults-only FUSE party of the year is happening this spring at the Vancouver Art Gallery! FUSE parties have been happening since 2005 and they're a great excuse to check out the latest exhibits at the art gallery. These late-night parties combine art, music and performance into one night-life experience that will really kick off your spring on a high note! There's a bar area at these parties that combines music and visual projections to create a pop-up party experience! This edition of Vancouver's favourite late-night art party will be exploring the power of gesture. You'll see work from artists that alters perceptions of both the body and the self in one mind-bending experience. You can explore all four floors of the gallery including the French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850 – 1950 exhibit so you can catch it before it wraps up soon. It's actually a massive party! Music is bumping, drinks are flowing and late at night, there's always a dance floor. This is a great alternative to heading to a bar or club for the evening because you'll get a totally unique party experience and you'll get to check out the latest exhibits. Point is, there is still a long way to go for more gender equality and leadership diversity. Instead of celebrating just 1 day, we should be celebrating the “Women's History Month” (March) and moreover, embrace it as a best practice to respect women in life/at work. Most importantly, this cannot happen without men 🚹 joining the conversation and I believe women’s international day is not just about celebrating women but also those men who have our back.🙌🏼 A post shared by Debbie Pai 👸🏻𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟗 (@apieceofpai) on Mar 11, 2019 at 11:34am PDT View this post on Instagram #octopus A post shared by Andrea Kohn (@pacokohn) on Feb 11, 2018 at 1:02pm PST FUSE: Gestures is happening on Friday, May 10 from 7:30 PM to 12 AM.
