Spring is when the city really starts to wake-up after our long winter slumber. From patios starting up again to outdoor swimming pools opening for the season, there's already a lot on our spring bucket lists! Here's one more thing you absolutely have to check out this spring.\nThe first adults-only FUSE party of the year is happening this spring at the Vancouver Art Gallery! FUSE parties have been happening since 2005 and they're a great excuse to check out the latest exhibits at the art gallery. These late-night parties combine art, music and performance into one night-life experience that will really kick off your spring on a high note! There's a bar area at these parties that combines music and visual projections to create a pop-up party experience!\nThis edition of Vancouver's favourite late-night art party will be exploring the power of gesture. You'll see work from artists that alters perceptions of both the body and the self in one mind-bending experience. You can explore all four floors of the gallery including the French Moderns: Monet to Matisse, 1850 – 1950 exhibit so you can catch it before it wraps up soon.\nView this post on Instagram Here’s a few pics from last Fridays FUSE. It's actually a massive party! Music is bumping, drinks are flowing and late at night, there's always a dance floor. This is a great alternative to heading to a bar or club for the evening because you'll get a totally unique party experience and you'll get to check out the latest exhibits.\nView this post on Instagram Went to #fusenight @vanartgallery The theme was Re Fuse... so we were refused entrance into a few of the exhibits. 😱🤗 A post shared by Jann Whippy (@jwhippy) on Mar 11, 2017 at 8:46am PST\nView this post on Instagram #Squin #fuse #artgalleryofvancouver #art #gallery #dance #performance #vancouverisawesome #vancitybuzz #vancouverlife #narcityvancouver #westendbia #westend #vancouverartgallery #fridaynight #potn #igers #instaart #vogue #fusenight #iphoneonly A post shared by @ ikatphoto on Apr 15, 2016 at 11:34pm PDT\nView this post on Instagram Happy (belated) International Women’s Day! 🚺 It was not until I started working in my current job in a Venture Capital firm that I realized the gender imbalance issues women have to face😨😱 👉🏼IN VCs💰: Every year, only 2% ($1.9B out of $85B)of VC investments goes to women founders 👉🏼IN STARTUPS 💻: If you’re a women with child(ren) starting your own company, instead of being viewed as “capable and determined”, most of the time, you’re viewed as a “tired mom” 👉🏼IN THE WORKPLACE👩🏽💻: there is still a gender wage gap of women earning 87 cents for every dollar earned by men 👉🏼IN DAILY LIVES💃🏻: 81% of women had experienced some form of sexual harassment during their lifetime. Point is, there is still a long way to go for more gender equality and leadership diversity. Instead of celebrating just 1 day, we should be celebrating the “Women's History Month” (March) and moreover, embrace it as a best practice to respect women in life/at work. Most importantly, this cannot happen without men 🚹 joining the conversation and I believe women’s international day is not just about celebrating women but also those men who have our back.🙌🏼 A post shared by Debbie Pai 👸🏻𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟗 (@apieceofpai) on Mar 11, 2019 at 11:34am PDT\nView this post on Instagram #octopus A post shared by Andrea Kohn (@pacokohn) on Feb 11, 2018 at 1:02pm PST\nFUSE: Gestures is happening on Friday, May 10 from 7:30 PM to 12 AM.
