Toronto is known as an incredibly multi-cultural city so you can pretty much find any type of food you'd ever want to try here. Asian food has quickly taken over the city though and has become one of our favourite kinds of international cuisines. We don't have to pay for an expensive flight across the world to try some of the best Asian dishes from ramen and dim sum to bubble tea and bingsu. Because these unreal dishes have taken over the city, there's no surprise that an entire festival and night market in Toronto is dedicated to them! If you come out to the Waterfront Night Market this summer you can try some of the best Pan-Asian eats in the city. The drink-in-a-bag concept has been picking steam these days, not at the store level yet but I see it a lot in night markets or temporary summer stalls. I got these three beautiful drinks from @drinknamwan | Nam Wan at the night market about a week and a half ago. The first drink from the left is the purple butterfly that comes packed with fresh lime juice, butterfly pea syrup, fresh mint and soda. The middle concoction is called βFirst Kissβ which comes with Thai Sala fruit syrup, milk, evaporated milk and butterfly pea flower. While the last brew on the right is your classic Thai Milk Tea. Colourful drinks on a hot summer day are the way to go! πβοΈ β’ β’ β’ #Toronto #Canada #torontofood #the6ix #foodphotography #drinks #f52grams #spoonfeed #dailyfoodfeed #feedfeed #feastagram #topfoodnews #Instafood #foodgasm #buzzfeast #foodoftheday #foodstyling #foodart #foodbloggers #foodbeast #nomnom #instayum #huffposttaste #buzzfeedfood #beautifulcuisines #foodporn #foodstagram #lefooding #nightmarket #summertime A post shared by Charlie H. (@ehcharlie) on Aug 21, 2018 at 4:42pm PDT The ultimate Pan-Asian food event is officially coming back this year! Waterfront Night Market will be taking over Ontario Place from August 9th to 11th this summer and we honestly can't wait. They moved to Ontario Place last year to expand the event since it was so insanely popular so we know this year will just get even bigger and better than the last! The night market will host over 150 Pan-Asian food vendors, an all-new craft beer zone, tons of entertainment and interactive games, and a massive artisans market. View this post on Instagram The Shot: An Infusion of Charcoal Magic The Location: Toronto, ON | CANADA π¨π¦ The Backstory: Summer markets, fairs and festivals are a breeding ground for experimental foods. Itβs where youβre going to find all these creative masterpieces that use unique and trendy ingredients. Although the activated charcoal trend started last in T.O, Iβm always down to try some of these new creations. I stopped by a booth at the Night Market called "Why Dough?" where they are striving to innovate your classic sammies. I got the evil salty mermaid (on top) that comes with a rich salted egg yolk cream, fiery fish skin crisps and a duck egg meringue squeeze between two slices of the activated charcoal sandwiches. For dessert, the evil ubecorn (on bottom) that comes stuffed with torched marshmallows, a creamy ube marsh and corn flakes between two slices of the activated charcoal sandwiches. I must say, it was indeed a unique experience! πβοΈ β’ β’ β’ #torontofood #the6ix #foodphotography #charcoal #Toronto #Canada #f52grams #spoonfeed #dailyfoodfeed #feedfeed #feastagram #topfoodnews #Instafood #foodgasm #buzzfeast #foodoftheday #foodstyling #foodart #foodbloggers #foodbeast #nomnom #instayum #huffposttaste #buzzfeedfood #beautifulcuisines #foodporn #foodstagram #lefooding #nightmarket #summertime A post shared by Charlie H. We know the vendors will be cooking up some new and interesting eats for us again this year. The best part is, admission to the food festival portion and artisan market is completely free! If you want to visit their all-new 19+ beer zone you'll have to buy tickets for $15 which includes 5 tokens. They also offer 'beer buddy' passes for $25 which includes 10 tokens and entry for two but it's only available for purchase online before the event.
