I went cross country skiing last weekend for the very first time at @arrowhead and it was relaxing while being a good workout! 💪 Being a beginner, I rented their classic skis and it was very easy to get started, as they have tracks that you can ski along. I would call it hiking in the snow, as we were able to ski along at our own pace while enjoying the snowy scenery 🌨️ . If you're ever thinking of trying cross country skiing, now's your chance before the snow melts! The weather is looking to be pretty good this weekend at Huntsville, ON and their snow tracks are very well maintained! They offer rentals for classic skis, skate skis, and ice skates at reasonable prices, and various trails for different expertise. —————————————————————————————— ❗Bring your own snacks and drinks as they do not have a cafe on site —————————————————————————————— 📍RR3, Huntsville, ON 💻https://www.ontarioparks.com/skireport/detail/arrowhead A post shared by Linda 🎀 Toronto Foodie (@foodie.famous) on Mar 5, 2020 at 10:12am PST Website Ride A Mountain Coaster Price: $17.00+ Address: 150 Jozo Weider Blvd., The Blue Mountains, ON Why You Need To Go: The thrilling ride is filled with tons of twists and will reach speeds up to 42-kilometres per hour. View this post on Instagram We spent a good bit of December up north, in our hometown of Ottawa. It is always a mad dash trying to see our large family and catch up with friends in a few short days. We were able to squeeze some time in to take our niece and nephew sledding because we are Canadian like that. Over the holidays it is easy to get into the habit of late nights and late mornings. Lazy Sunday mornings turn into lazy Tuesday and Wednesday mornings when your schedule is off. When we got back to New York our schedule was totally off. When the weather is cold it is even harder to get up and get going in the morning. Although we had started some great daily habits by doing 30 minutes of exercise a day for the #december30challenge, we needed a way to get motivated to attack the day. Enter our next goal/challenge: create a morning routine to get zen for the day. We want to rake up excited to start a new day; to wake up for ourselves rather than for "work". We spent last week researching and reading the book "The Miracle Morning" @miraclemorning. The tofu and potatoes of the book starts in chapter five. Some of the ideas are pretty radical, but we are always up for a new adventure. Starting today we're waking up at the cricket-crack of dawn - aka 5am - to practice a set of techniques called the life-SAVERS to start the day. So far it feels great! You don't have to wake that early, but consider getting up 30 minutes earlier everyday to be mentally and physically prepared for the day. Tag an early riser who'd be crazy enough to try this. . . . . . . #miraclemorning #morningmotivation #mondaymotivation #inspiration #bestlife #vegan #bestofvegan #plantbased #blackvegan #vsco #vegansofcolor #vegansofig #happy #fun #ottawa #winter #Canada #meditation #twinning #blacktwins #twins #melaninmagic #melaninpoppin #fitfam #bbg #newyearsresolution #newyear #challenge #love A post shared by Joy & June (@adashoftwo) on Jan 7, 2019 at 2:33pm PST Website Find A Frozen Waterfall Price: $5.00 parking fee Address: Tiffany Falls, Hamilton, ON Why You Need To Go: It is a quick 10-minute walk to reach this impressive glistening waterfall.
