One not to miss experience this summer is Tonga Lumina. It is a breathtaking multimedia experience that will lead you through a 1.5km trail of lights. Tonga Lumina takes places in the forests of Mont Tremblant, an hour and 45 minutes away from Ottawa. In Tonga Lumina, you walk under the stars following a mysterious illuminated path to discover the legend of a sleeping giant that lives on the mountain. Moment Factory Taking place at night, you start your journey by taking the chairlift to the start of the trail. Walking through the winding path, you will discover the secrets of the giant. The entire experience is stunning; there are epic light installations to create a magical landscape where you will find glowing totems and mythical creatures. You might have already seen some of their work around Ottawa, as they were responsible for the Kipnes Lantern at the National Arts Centre, the Illumination of Chaudiere Falls and Kontinuum. They also designed several other immersive illuminated walking trails similar to Tonga Lumina in Kingston, Whistler, and Coaticook. Tonga Lumina will take place every night starting on June 14 and continuing until October 14, 2019. The illuminated trail takes approximately one hour to complete and costs $27.99 per person.
