Jalen Harris and Malachi Flynn could be the next biggest basketball stars in Toronto, but they'll have to come to Canada first. In their first press conferences after being drafted by the team, the new Toronto Raptors players admitted that neither of them had ever been to the country before. Both Harris and Flynn said they were both excited to join the organization, and they had good things to say about the city and the fanbase. "I've heard it's pretty cold," the 59th draft pick joked. "I'm bringing some jackets. That's definitely in my preparation." Twenty-ninth draft pick Flynn also told reporters he has never stepped north of the border either, despite being born in Tacoma, Washington. "From what I've heard, everybody likes Toronto," Flynn said. "One person just told me it's kind of like Seattle in a way, I don't know if that's true or not. I've only heard good things about Toronto so I'm excited to hopefully finally get out there." Whether the duo will play in Canada during the next NBA season is still up in the air. No official announcement has been made regarding where the Raptors will play their home games next year. But if they can play as well as Raptor legends Lowry and VanVleet, they'll be honourary citizens in no time.
