Calgary Flames fans are expressing concern today after a terrifying scene took place on the ice during a practice at the Scotiabank Saddledome. Defenceman T.J. Brodie left practice on a stretcher after collapsing and convulsing on the ice. T.J. Brodie's health scare has led to an outpouring of support and well-wishes for the player on social media.\nAccording to CTV News, when Brodie unexpectedly fell on the ice and began convulsing, his teammates immediately called for a doctor. The Flames’ athletic therapists, James Borreli and Mike Gudmundson, ran to the player’s aid.\nThe athletic therapists were able to stabilize the defenceman. He then laid on the ice for about 15 minutes before medics arrived and transported him to the hospital.\nBrodie, 29, was awake and alert when he was taken from the ice on a stretcher, says TSN.\n“TJ Brodie experienced an episode on ice at practice today. He is alert and responsive and has been transported to local area hospital for evaluation. We will provide a further update when available.
