It’s not too late to get paid this summer! If your bank account has been looking a little worse for wear recently, why not consider these summer jobs in Ottawa? The Canada Summer Jobs program is helping local students to find work ASAP, and there’s so many positions available. Even better, some require no experience and pay way above the minimum wage. Looking for work can be a pretty stressful experience, particularly if you’re new to the job market or are unsure what your particular skills are. Fortunately, the Canada Summer Jobs program has been specifically designed to help young people find work during the summer months, and there’s so many positions available across many different sectors. For students aged between 15 and 35 years old, there’s everything from teacher's aides and bricklaying roles, to customer service agents and even gymnastics coach positions. The best part is, all of these jobs are located right here in the City. If you thought a student job program might be stingy with their salaries, think again! The minimum wage in Ontario is currently $14 per hour, and many of these positions pay so much more than that. Some positions in the student job bank actually pay up to $20 per hour, and they require no experience or specific education. It’s time to get paid! View this post on Instagram Welp, it has now been decided that my entire district will begin the year with remote learning. So I have created a new freebie to help parents be successful with distance learning. Even little things like creating a designated workspace and using a timer for assignment completion help so much. And fun fact: I teach at a Spanish Dual Language Immersion school! So many of my resources are also in Spanish. {link in profile} Happy {distance} learning! 🏠 http://bit.ly/MissMsReadingResources A post shared by Meredith Morgan | Kindergarten (@missmskindergarten) on Jul 15, 2020 at 3:26pm PDT Apply Here Soccer Coach Salary: $19/hour Company: Green Wave Soccer Why You Should Apply: Located in Nepean, this position is perfect for any sports-lovers. View this post on Instagram ✨Story Time!✨ Mack came in for his first lesson a few weeks ago. He was crying and screaming in the water and initially we all came to the same conclusion... he has a fear of the water. This didn’t deter us! We had Mack come back one last time to try to see what we could do. We found that he actually wasn’t afraid of the water, he was just persistent about not wanting to try something new! We approached this challenge with playing and Mickael took a couple lessons which were solely directed to be about bonding, trust and relationship building. Four weeks later... Mack made it into the pool, used a flutter board and was kicking his feet with Mickael!🤩 We are so proud of this accomplishment for him. He didn’t even want to get out of the pool when his lesson was finished! It can be very discouraging for parents to continue swimming lessons when it seems like no real accomplishments are being made, but it really is a slow and steady wins the race for some children and we understand that! ☺️ • • • • • • #swimming #swimminglessons #ottawa #pool #swimminginstructor #privatelessons #swimminggoals #achievement #progress #poolsofinstagram #poolside #childrenswimming #lifegaurd #proudofyou #motivationmonday A post shared by Hippo in the Bathtub (@hippointhebathtub) on Feb 24, 2020 at 8:52am PST Apply Here Assistant Brand Manager Salary: $15/hour Company: Eight50Coffee Why You Should Apply: If you're interested in a career in advertising, this is a great place to start.
